The Dead Sea also known as the Salt Sea that lies between the hills of Judea to the west and the Trans Jordanian plateaus to the east. The waters of the Dead Sea are extremely saline, which means (containing or impregnated with salt.) With 33.7 percent salinity, the Dead Sea is one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water. Which prevents the existence of life in the water. However there are several types of bacteria and one type of algae that adapted and learned how to live in the water. Fish that accidently swim into the freshwater streams that feed the Dead Sea are literally killed instantly, their bodies are quickly cooled with a pursuing layer salt crystals and then tossed into the shore by the wind and waves that come. But to us humans the Dead Sea does not harm us. We are remarkably adaptable so that means we can swim in the Dead Sea just like we can swim in the ocean.
